Tenuta di Fessina

Founded in 2007 by winemaker Silvia Maestrelli, her husband, Roberto Silva, and winemaker Federico Curtaz, the Fessina Estate is located in the small village of Rovittello, about eight miles east of Randazzo, a small, picturesque village in the heart of Castiglione di Sicilia.

The estate lies in the shadows of Mt. Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano, which adds to the mystique of this incredible property.

You will find the small hamlet of houses and ‘palmenti’, wine-making cellars which originally belonged toMr. Musmeci, to whom the ‘cru’ of Nerello Mascalese is dedicated. Milo, an enchanting terrace on the lower Ionic coast, is the other beating heart of Fessina, where Carricante is produced from century-old vines for the wine Etna DOCBianco Superiore Il Musmeci.

At Santa Maria di Locodìa A’ Puddara was born, the other ‘cru’ of Carricante for an EtnaDOC Bianco that is a dutiful homage to Sicily. A’ Puddara is a wine that can be ragarded as a little continent with a beating heart, in the middle of the Meditteranean

The fiery mountain of Etna gives an authentic rarity, Laeneo, NerelloCappuccio 100%.

Sharp and peppery, it shows the special contribution of this ancient grape variety to wine Etna DOC.
