Villa Marcello was originally built in the heart of an immense oak wood at the end of the 17th century as a shooting lodge by the Tiepolo family. At the beginning of the 19th century, as per the owner Elisabetta Galvani Onigo's desire, the landscape changed and vineyards were planted.
Her desendants, the Marcellos, who played an important role in the history of Venice since 982, are still running the estate. Alessandra and Andriana Marcello are deeply involved in the development of the wine production in Fontanelle.
The estate consists of 50 hectares of vineyards in the commune of Treviso and the surrounding area. All the wines are the result of different elements linked together: passion, selection of grapes, vinification method. A perfect balance between tradition and modern technique.
