Roberto Anselmi produces this intense white wine called Capitel Foscarino as a Veneto IGT, but if you ever tasted a Soave DOCG, well, this is made with the same grape variety, Garganega, and a small amount of Chardonnay. He has now decided to produce outside the Soave DOCG appellation because of some restrictions, even if he massively contributed to Soave’s reputation.
The volcanic tuff soil where the grapes grow , gives a good structure to this wine which also shows great depth, with ripe fruit reminiscent of peaches with floral elements, fresh balanced acidity and a long, persistent finish.
