Digby Brut Blanc de Blancs 2013

Digby

Named after Sir Kenelm Digby, a seventeenth century alchemist who invented the modern wine bottle, Digby aims to produce world class sparkling wine. They carefully select their vineyard partners across England and mature their wine for ample time on the lees and under cork. The grapes are sourced from a mixture of chalk, greensand and clay soil to produce five vibrant and elegant sparkling wines with a lot of character.

This is the first ever Blanc de Blancs made at Digby. Made with top Chardonnay grapes from four parcels it has depth, complexity, and punchiness to make it age well. Aromas of citrus, apple and hints of toast. Refreshing on the palate with fine bubbles.
